UMCOR comes alongside those who suffer from natural or human caused disasters - be it famine, hurricane, war, flood, fire, or other events - to alleviate suffering and to be a source of help and hope for those left most vulnerable.
We, through UMCOR, give relief, response and long term recovery grants when these events overcome a community's ability to recover on their own.
UMCOR also provides technical support and training for partners to address emerging and ongoing issues related to disaster relief, recovery, and long term health and development.

Coloma UMC supports ENGAGEmi. This is the Michigan Conference of the UMC 's focusing missional giving in three areas:
Learn = Give - Act
This program encourages churches
to be in "ministry with" rather than to "do for" people. There are a multitude of opportunities for giving within this program.
Coloma UMC is currently focusing on Flint Recovery, a program to support the stabilization and restoration of Flint.
In addition we will be raising funds to support Grace Children's Hospital and Pediatric Clinic (International Child Care} in Haiti. This program creates hope for children and families suffering form chronic illness.
The specific programs we collect for at Coloma UMC varies from year to year. For a comprehensive list of all programs under the ENGAGEmi umbrella, visit the website
